Primary Level Mathematics
Our program is suitable for primary students who need help in problem-solving questions or looking to build stronger math foundation.
Introduction
The Singapore math method is a highly effective teaching approach originally developed by Singapore’s Ministry of Education in the 1980s for Singapore public schools.
The method has been widely adopted in various forms around the world over the past 25 years, including Malaysia primary schools. In Malaysia, this method was implemented in Higher-Order-Thinking-Skills questions (ie. HOTS questions) which allows students to apply their theoretical math knowledge onto challenging questions.
Key Features
Students focus on understanding math concepts, instead of relying on pure memorization. The Singapore learning method guides students to think mathematically and apply their knowledge on math in different ways.
Some of the key features of the approach include the CPA (Concrete, Pictorial, Abstract) progression, number bonds, bar modeling, and mental math.
Without relying on simple replication, students perform at a higher level and they become more successful problem solvers. They gain a greater sense of confidence in their knowledge, allowing them to excel in further mathematics questions.
Why us?
We started 6 years ago because we believe primary-level students can benefit from the techniques, learning approach, and curriculum introduced in Singapore math. Our learning materials are approved by the Singapore Ministry of Education and we continue to provide updated teaching approach to better serve the students and educators.
